Saturday, December 31, 2011 Each year EMS services around the country are faced with increasing calls volumes.  At Echo Hose Ambulance we too have seen an increase of call volume this year.  In over 62 years of service Echo Hose Ambulance has never respond to over 400 calls in a single month.  In July, September, October and December the ambulance corps responded to over 400 calls each month bring our overcall call volume to emergency calls in Shelton to 4655.  This is up 340 emergency calls from 2010.  Even with the rapid increase of call volume Echo Hose Ambulance is proud to report that it covered 98% of the town’s emergency calls.
